Project Description
Curved stairs (9 steps) and railing to be redone in maple, stained dark to match floors upstairs. Existing stairs are carpeted with basic construction material underneath. Railing is rot iron spindles with oak railing on top. Looking to have wood balusters and wood railing instead. Ideally this would be a re-build vs layered over top. Stairs to be done in maple and stained to match existing hardwood upstairs. Friendly Bernese Mountain Dog will be present to supervise/nap while you work.

Balusters to also be painted white - standard type from Home Depot would suffice. Railing will be stained hardwood. If matching to existing upstairs railing then would be red oak.

Additional Notes:
If project goes well phase 2 is removing tile from kitchen and main hall, installing unfinished maple hardwood, stripping down and re-staining other existing hardwood on same floor to match... so potential to be expanded to a fairly large project.
