Our master bathroom is 5 feet by 9 feet. The shower/bathtub walls have serious water damage and we are looking to gut it and have just a shower instead. We want the walls tiled and possibly the floor of the shower tiled as well (or we will purchase a shower base/floor that goes with the glass shower doors - advice from a contractor would be helpful with this decision). The floor of the bathroom needs to be re-tiled with a water barrier since the previous owner did not waterproof it and we've had water damage. The vanity is staying but we are looking into replacing the counter top. The sink and toilet are also being replaced. We want the walls painted (we have the paint already). We also want to remove the 5ft wide mirror and replace it with a smaller one and possibly include a small storage unit beside it. We also want to move the lighting from the ceiling to the vanity wall above the mirror - we will purchase new light fixtures. Finally, we'd like to get an idea of how difficult/expensive it is to remove the current door that opens into the bathroom and replace it with a pocket door.
